Radiation Safety : ICS-4000
ICS-4000 The Model ICS-4000 isotope identifier is an easy to use field-portable gamma ray spectrometer, suitable for a variety of field survey and analysis applications. A sensitive cadmium zinc telluride (CZT) detector, 4000 channel multichannel analyzer and powerful microprocessor are combined to allow sophisticated laboratory-grade analysis in the field. This instrument comes complete with a 160 isotope library with the capacity for additions as required.

Lightweight, Easy to Use - The ICS-4000 weighs less than 2 lbs. It’s large LCD screen is back-lit for easy reading in any light and displays menus, instructions, data and spectra on command. Seven large buttons on the front panel control all functions. The controls are easy to use with either hand, even with gloves.

Rugged and Reliable - The ICS-4000 is housed in a durable aluminum case that stands up to rigorous field use. The unit will operate in a wide range of environmental conditions.

Long Life Battery - A rechargeable lithium battery pack will power the unit for up to 8 hours of operation. A battery pack and a charger are provided with each unit. An optional adapter is available for AC operation.

Two Versions - The ICS-4000 is outfitted with an internal CZT detector. An alternate version, the ICS-4000e is available with a connector that allows the attachment of an external detector for specific applications. Ask XRF Corporation about custom probe design.

Applications:
  • Radioactive materials identification in labs, hospitals, landfills and power plants
  • Hazmat response
  • Nuclear non-proliferation
  • Airport security
