Water Phantom for Horizontal Beams
The water phantom Type 4322 is designed for calibration measurements in radiation therapy using a horizontal beam. Up to 3 ionization chambers or FeS ampoules can be placed at different water depths. The outer dimensions of the tank are approximately 300 x 300 x 300 mm, walls are made of 20 mm thick PMMA (acrylic), and one wall has a 150 x 150 mm entrance window which is 3 mm thick. The phantom has three adjustable supports for leveling, etched crosshairs for alignment, and a drain tap for emptying without tilting or changing the phantom's position. The phantom holds 19 liters of water and weighs approximately 10 kg when empty.
